Permissions

In addition to basic permissions, the KFinKart-Investor app needs access to other functions on your device for it to support the above features -
• External Storage: To download various financial statements to your device memory for you to conveniently view it outside the app.
• Call log: To auto-dial the contact centre number on a single button click, to avail support to address your issues. We cannot read the existing call log
• Phone: This permission is required to uniquely identify the device to make your transactions secure.
• SMS: To auto-verify OTPs through standard android API to automate OTP entry only.

Ratings and reviews

theres always some issue with the app. This time when I try to login, it says there's a new version and blocks login asking to update the app. there's no update in the PlayStore. is this some elaborate prank or what. Even if there's an update, nearly all apps let the users login and use the app for a few days. they don't block app access right away. several years later the experience is still the same. annoying.

Overall a dreadful experience 1. Try doing any action after logging in, it throws "error while processing request" 2. Logging in itself is an issue as sms arrival is uncertain 3. App has updates every now and then and it is worth a few kb in size. These updates hardly bring in any stability. This has been the situation for a couple of years now.

This app deserves 1 star. The UI is outdated and cluttered, biometric login is useless since it forces manual OTP entry with no auto-read, and even single-option filters make you select from a drop-down for no reason. Worst part - “Upcoming SIP transaction” is buried under “Transaction History” instead of showing on the dashboard. I’m going to sell all my holdings from this app.
