About this app

Remember the good old days of paper scriptures when you could open to a random page and start reading? Well, now you can do that electronically! Check it out!

This is the Android app version of the website www.RandomScriptureVerse.com.

Scriptures are taken from the following sources:

- Old Testament
- New Testament
- Book of Mormon
- Doctrine and Covenants
- Pearl of Great Price

Features include the following:

- Show a completely random scripture
- Show a random scripture from a selection of Standard Works
- Show a random scripture from a specific book of scripture
- Save, delete, and randomize from your favorite verses
- Set an alarm to show you a random verse every day

All verses contain links to LDS.org (or Gospel Library if installed), making it easy to read the verse in context and study nearby scriptures.

It's just as I expect it. It generates random scripture verses. Very helpful for self-study sessions when you just want to study random verses or want to come across verses that you didn't take notice on before. The app works offline, it also doesn't generate ads when you're online. Overall, the app is very helpful and very handy to have, would def recommend.

It does just what it says--and it's a great way to jumpstart Gospel study. Very customizable, too, but it's also simple enough that you can just tap once for a random verse without having to fiddle with anything.

Was working fine until the randomness stopped working. Would show me Moroni 2:2, then 2 Samuel 5, and so on predictably. Still a great concept, and I'll reinstall it if and when this issue is fixed.

Hi Benjamin, thanks for your feedback. I've tried to replicate the problem on multiple devices, but I still haven't been able to. I personally use the app often and everything works great. Could you try using the app again to see if the problem is still there? And please feel free to email me at admin@randomscriptureverse.com with more details.
