Kit Pay is the Android app for your Kit wallet and account. Money and messages live in one place, so you can pay someone inside the conversation you are already having with them.
Sign in with supported phone or email verification, set your display name and unique Kit tag, protect payments with a wallet PIN, and add authenticator MFA. Review signed-in devices and sign out a device from Settings.
With services enabled for your account, Kit Pay lets you:
• View available and ledger balances and recent transaction history.
• Send money to Kit users and request a payment.
• Pay inside a conversation. A payment you send, a payment you receive and a request you answer each appear in the chat itself as a payment card, so the money and the conversation about it stay in one place. Every debit still goes through the same wallet-PIN authorization as the rest of the app.
• Follow a payment to the end in the thread it started in. If money comes back, the conversation records that it was returned and why, instead of the payment quietly disappearing.
• Access supported mobile-money, bank, airtime and bill-payment journeys.
• Complete identity verification on Didit's hosted verification page.
• Make voice and video calls to Kit contacts. Add someone else to a call in progress, share your screen, and keep the call in a floating window while you use the rest of the app.
• Exchange end-to-end encrypted direct messages when secure messaging is enabled for your account.
Conversations carry more than text:
• Share photos and videos from your library, or take one with the built-in camera — pull down past the bottom of a conversation to open it.
• Crop, rotate, draw on, caption and filter a capture before you send it.
• Record a voice note, or a short video note, without leaving the thread.
• Send documents such as PDFs.
• Consecutive photos gather into a grid. Tap one for the full-screen viewer, pinch or double-tap to zoom, swipe through everything shared in that chat, and share or save what you want to keep.
• Attachments are encrypted on your device before upload, exactly like message text.
• Search across your chats and messages, pin the threads you use most, and mute the ones you do not.
• Share text from another app straight into a Kit conversation.
You decide who can reach you. Being findable by phone number, receiving direct message requests and accepting incoming calls are each off by default and turned on individually in Settings, and you can block an account at any time.
Security is built into the app. Session credentials and secure-messaging state are encrypted with non-exportable Android Keystore keys. Direct messages and their attachments use the reviewed PQXDH and Double Ratchet protocol only after encrypted device setup completes; there is no plaintext messaging fallback. Debit actions require a wallet-PIN authorization tied to the exact payment, and where your device and account support it you can approve with your fingerprint or face instead of typing the PIN. Financial changes are confirmed by Kit's servers and are never completed only on the device. Provider credentials stay on Kit's servers, and identity documents are captured on Didit's hosted page rather than stored in the app.
Feature availability depends on your country, account status, identity-verification status and the Kit services currently enabled. An internet connection is required for account updates, secure messaging and financial actions. QR scanning is not available in this release.
