This screen filter will let you cover most of your screen except a small cutout.
You can move and resize the mask, so you yourself can still see everything.
The rectangle is as wide as the screen so it's perfect for texting. The small circle is ideal for even more secret things.

🌑 The new "OLED" mode turns the screen completely black while keeping the device on. It's perfect for listening to music without stopping the app.

It's very simple to use:
The screen filter will stay active even when you close the app.
Drag the red dot to move the hole. Double tap it to make it bigger.
You can also change the opacity and shape.
The overlay can also be started from the home screen with a shortcut. Or even from the quick settings tile.

All functions can be used for free but there is a short ad for one of my other apps. I purposefully didn't implement normal ads from the big ad networks to protect your user data. You can remove the ad with a cheap in-app-purchase.
No additional downloads, no service that runs all the time! :-)

Ratings and reviews

Giving four stars as the app is actually really well coded. But, I think the option to create a rectangle with a specific height or width, (maybe a way to custom drag it to the right shape) would make it a five star app, unfortunately I don't think this can be done currently.

I need to put any image (screenshot in my case) on screen transparently and make it non-interactive. Then I can play those games where the level is shown and screen goes black after. With the overlay I can still see the level. A quick take screenshot button would be nice in that case. --- When I read overlay, that's what I think of and that's what this app lacks.

Almost what I'm looking for. The app is quick and easily accessible. It's great if you want to show just a part of your screen. Sadly it's the opposite for me. I want to hide just a part of my screen, and this app hides way too much of my screen even when I use the biggest possible window. So it's not working the way I want it to, but the app does do what it says and it's easy to use.
