App does what it claims, and with no BS. I tried numerous other step-counters, and all were unacceptable, due to spam and fearmongering, i.e. "Your computer is infected..." type scams. Couldn't be happier with this splendid app. Update: I got annoyed when it stopped counting one day, and went with another app that was a resource hog. Then, I discovered my phone had issues. I got this excellent step counter back, and will stick with it.

Nice no frills step counter. Two suggestions for improvements: 1) also display the distance (not just the steps) in the history 2) add a manual start/stop button so the user can chose between continuous 24/7 operation or to run it only during certain times, e.g. when doing a walk. This would have the added bonus of reducing battery usage. And units should of course default to metric as the whole world is on metric and only a handful of countries on imperial.

Thanks for the suggestions. Those are things I want to add when I find some free time. 👍
The app usually picks metric/imperial based on your phone settings. Do you live in a country that mostly uses imperial or did the app not detect it correctly?

This is my backup counter. I have another app that I use as my primary. I went on a cruise and I don't get the WiFi package. So just in case my primary didn't keep track, I had this for backup. It did the job. The steps were pretty accurate, maybe off by 10 to 15 steps. No big deal for me. This app would work as well if I wanted to use it as my primary.
