Accessibility Service Disclosure
Klara uses Android’s Accessibility Service API as a core part of its functionality. With your clear permission, Klara reads text content displayed on your screen to save it as part of your personal digital memory and to power the AI assistant.

Klara does not perform any touch actions, navigation gestures, or control other apps. It only reads visible text to help you remember important information.

What Klara does with Accessibility Service:
• Accesses on-screen text and other user-generated content (like notes or messages you type).
• Saves this text locally on your device.
• Shares only the last 5 days of saved text with OpenAI for AI assistant replies.
• Automatically deletes older data from servers after 5 days.

Privacy and Data Usage
• All your saved data stays on your device unless you choose to use the AI assistant feature.
• When shared with OpenAI, data is temporary, anonymous, and not linked to your personal identity.
• You can disable data sharing and delete all your records at any time via the app’s Data Settings.
• You are always in control: manage stored data, exclude specific apps, or turn off Accessibility Service permission whenever you wish.

Ratings and reviews

Edit: I'm unfortunately dropping my review until the app is fixed. Currently there is no logic behind where saved text originated and where its ultimated stored. For example: a paragraph I wrote in Messages gets labeled and saved in my Dynamic Island Notch app collection. which makes searching by app irrelevant entirely. Also it saves the same text so many times you're scrolling forever.

The concept is neat, but still has a long way to go for accuracy. I use Discord, and it would tell me that I'm participating in conversations in servers or group convos that I have muted and didn't even open, and if I ask about a topic I researched earlier it includes unrelated content. I also couldn't get over the invasion of privacy, as it "reads" conversations across all your apps, but it's not like that was a surprise as the app states as much and you're reminded when giving it permissions.

I find it interesting to see what im doing when and how many times I've been looking clicking and interacting on my phone. for no particular reason just like knowing. I haven't found a reason to pay for the extra things the free version is just fine.
