Animation Throwdown is the collectible card game that lets you collect cards and battle with characters from your favorite shows!

This is a decent game and it is fun to play for the first week or so. My biggest problem with it though is the adventure energy. You get shockingly little of it I'd you don't want to spend money. For example, one adventure battle at the stage I am at costs 4 energy. I have 11. Can't even get 3 battles done before I put it down again. Really enjoyed the game for the first week or so, but struggling to motivate myself to continue playing.

Okay so the premise of this game is great and visually it looks amazing. They've managed to bring together the various shows brilliantly...BUT the game itself is actually quite poorly designed at the moment. 2 weeks in and I've already seen big problems. Examples: The card you put down can only attack the card in front of it, no others; there's WAY too many currencies within the game and most of them are pointless; you can't play other people in real time!! There's more but I can't fit it in.

A surprisingly good game, with solid core gameplay and optional ads. Easy to learn and hard to master, AT is a solid card collection game at heart, which rewards strategy and time investment. The microtransactions and ads aren't pushed too hard, though they are present. Marked down a star for requiring an internet connection, the odd stuttering/slowdown, and some of the UI feels unintuitive. Overall, I'd recommend giving it a try, which I haven't said about a mobile game in a while.
