About this app

Get the most accurate BPM counter and live beat detector for Android.

Live BPM is the all-in-one rhythm tool for musicians, DJs, and dancers. It combines a precise tap tempo button with an advanced auto-BPM detector that listens to music through your microphone. Whether you need a simple beat counter or a professional live performance tool, Live BPM delivers.

🔥 TOP FEATURES

1. Accurate BPM Counter (Tap Mode)

Use the whole screen to manually count beats. Perfect for:

DJs & Collectors: Rapidly catalog vinyl records for your crate or find the tempo for beatmatching.

Musicians: Measure song speed with extreme precision (supports decimals like 120.5 BPM) to set the correct starting tempo.

Producers: Find the exact BPM of samples to sync with your DAW or MPC.

2. Live Auto-Detection (Drummer Mode)

Turn your phone into a visual metronome. The app automatically listens to the beat via the microphone and tracks tempo in real-time.

Track Tempo Drift: See real-time deviations (+/-) from your target or previous tempo to know instantly if you are rushing or dragging.

Guided Auto-Detect: Tap a guide tempo to lock the algorithm's focus, eliminating spikes and ensuring precise tracking even in complex rhythms.

Hands-Free: Essential for drummers and band leaders—no need to tap the screen while playing.

Crowd-Safe UI: Dark mode optimized for stage lighting.

3. Metronome & Rhythm Tools

Track ID: Identify the song title and artist while measuring the beat.

Session History: Save your tempo logs to review after your gig or practice session.

Battery Saver: While real-time audio analysis is power-intensive, we've engineered our algorithm to be as efficient as possible, maximizing your session time without sacrificing accuracy.

WHY SWITCH TO LIVE BPM?

Most BPM counter apps are just simple calculators. Live BPM is a professional tempo monitoring engine. We are committed to continuous improvement, delivering a modern, intuitive UI/UX and responsive customer support to ensure your workflow remains seamless.

It had potential, but as usual greed takes over. First of all it is not that accurate, I would have expected a least one decimal place on the detection. Then while you are using it you have a massive ad at the top, then a big blue ad in the middle trying to get you to subscribe. The sub price is also too expensive. Now way am I going to pay for a monthly sub, but may have considered if it was a one time perpetual license. TLDR: Too expensive, not accurate enough.

Hey there! You can actually turn on decimal precision right in Settings — so your beats stay razor-sharp. Ads only pop up in the free tier to keep it open for everyone, but the yearly plan costs less than a pizza 🍕 (and comes with a free trial!). Thanks for helping us keep the rhythm improving! 🎶

Nice app. Best in the genre. I want it to be more resourceful. I need the ability to sort by bpm ascending/descending. Plus, manual sort to tweak further. Spotify-shared services would be nice. The killer for me would be having the ability to remotely create a Spotify playlist from all or selected items in the list. Still in a class by itself.

It seems like a great app. If only it worked properly, i tried it multiple times, and it has given me problems every time with the auto-detection. Whenever i use the auto-detection twice, it will either freeze on the previous number it was on after using it once or wouldn't track properly or wouldn't track at all. Very poor.
