About this game

DOMINATE THE BOARD. OVERTHROW THE CLANS.

The Empire has fallen. As the last heir of the Lotus, your tactical genius is your only weapon to avenge your clan and restore order among the 4 factions. In Shinza, every unit placement can be a death sentence or a masterstroke.

PURE, RUTHLESS STRATEGY
Inspired by the mechanics of great strategy classics (Chess, Othello...) and Sun Tzu's precepts from The Art of War, Shinza reinvents territory conquest. The board represents the battlefield where you must deploy your units to expand your territory and take over enemy-controlled zones.

TWO MECHANICS, INFINITE COMBINATIONS:

THE DUEL: Crush adjacent enemy units with brute force.

THE PINCER: Capture entire lines by surrounding the enemy between two of your units.

FOUR CLANS, FOUR DOCTRINES
Master radically opposed playstyles to break the imperial siege:

DRAGON (Offensive): Devastating power. Their units dominate in direct duels.

JADE (Subterfuge): The art of infiltration. Their units are experts in sabotage and turning the tide of battle.

AMBER (Defensive): The impregnable fortress. Their units erect barriers that are tough to breach.

LOTUS (Balanced): Your clan. The art of adaptation, turning the opponent's strength against them.

YOUR PATH TO THE SHINZA THRONE

Narrative Campaign: Avenge your bloodline in a dark political fantasy epic.

Conquest or Assassination: Expand your influence to control the board, or strike at the heart by capturing the enemy Sovereign.

Special Units: Deploy spies, sentinels, saboteurs, armorers, and many other units to reinforce your army or weaken enemy lines.

A TRIBUTE TO THE CLASSICS
Shinza was designed for strategy enthusiasts. We merged the tactical depth of Chess, the flipping mechanics of Othello, and modern roguelike/deckbuilding elements. The Asian-influenced fantasy universe is heavily inspired by Raymond E. Feist's "The Empire Trilogy".
A blend of Chess, Othello, Deckbuilding, and Roguelike.
