About this game

Lab Getaway is a 2D physics-based action puzzle game. Players control a character escaping a laboratory filled with deadly traps. Using a grappling rope mechanism, you swing off walls, collect potions, and avoid hazards to clear each level.

### Core Gameplay

**Objective:** Collect the required number of potions in each level to unlock the next stage.

**Controls:**
- **Tap the screen** — the character fires a rope in the direction they are facing. When the rope latches onto a wall, the character swings and flies along the rope's trajectory.
- While flying, touching another wall causes the character to flip and land, continuing to walk along the wall.

**Movement Mechanics:**
- The character walks along walls by default.
- At wall edges, the character naturally turns the corner.
- In flight, striking a wall triggers a wall-flip landing.

### Level System

The game features **30 levels** across two maps:
- **Map 1**: Levels 1–15 (potions needed: 1–3)
- **Map 2**: Levels 16–30 (potions needed: mostly 3)

Some levels also contain collectible diamond stones.

### Map Hazards

| Element | Description |
|---------|-------------|
| **Ground Thorn** | Spikes on walls (up/down/left/right); instant death on contact |
| **Saw** | 5-tile rotating blade (clockwise or counterclockwise) |
| **Rotating Saw** | 2-tile blade rotating around a pivot point |
| **Gear** | Moves back and forth along a track (right or up direction) |
| **Moving Block** | Pushable/movable obstacle |

### Map Collectibles

| Element | Description |
|---------|-------------|
| **Potion** | Primary collectible; gather enough to clear the level |
| **Diamond Stone** | Special collectible used to unlock new map areas |
| **Key** | Removes all locked wall tiles upon pickup |

A "Perfect" rating can be earned when a level is completed under specific conditions.

The game offers **5 unlockable character skins**:
