Practice English with YouTube videos, scenes from TV shows and documentaries. DualSub's dual subtitles let you follow the original dialogue and its translation, look up words and save what you want to learn.
Turn content you enjoy into listening and vocabulary practice. You can also choose other study languages; content and features vary by language.
Dual subtitles to understand the dialogue
• Display original subtitles and their translation together.
• Tap a word to check its meaning in context and hear it pronounced.
• Explore explanations of expressions and language use in selected videos and supported language pairs.
• Open the transcript to follow several lines of dialogue.
Listen at your own pace
• Pause automatically at the end of each subtitle.
• Replay the parts you want to hear again.
• Adjust the size, color and background of subtitles and translations.
• Practice with recommended videos or compatible content you choose.
Remember words from your videos
Save words and expressions with their context. Review them with flashcards and search, browse or organize your vocabulary whenever you need it.
YouTube and local videos
Search YouTube videos or open local files and compatible video links shared by other apps. Connecting Google to display channels you follow is optional. Available audio and subtitle tracks depend on the source.
You can also follow guided listening practice and comprehension exercises. Availability varies by language and level.
Free, Premium and Android TV
Some features are free; others require Premium. The offer and price are shown before purchase. Premium Android TV features require linking the TV to a DualSub Premium account on Android.
