I've used this app for 4 months, and overall it's been a positive experience. Units are well-structured. The negatives: if I make a mistake on a speaking lesson, the app prompts me to retry, but does not listen to a 2nd attempt, it just gives the same failing score over and over. The only workaround is to restart the lesson. Also twice I have lost month-long streaks after missing one day, even though I had two Streak Savers. All in all a good way to learn some Tagalog!

reviewing as someone with beginner level Tagalog. with that said there are a lot of positives. having to talk into the mic is good, grammar lessons is great, sentenc structure is probably the most valuable thing it's teaching me, and there is very low pressure for keeping up with streaks. with that said my only gripe is that it's very fast at teaching stuff with few ways to review aside from retaking lessons. still, this is a great app for learning grammar and structure, both are invaluable

Excellent for picking up sentence structure and expanding vocabulary. Especially effective when you have someone to talk to. Since duolingo discontinued tagalog, this is a wonderful replacement if you're trying to learn. Some words don't seem to be spelled correctly (early example: "aleman" and "germany") and the guided pronunciation segments don't know what to do about it. Will see how it goes in the later sections. Highly recommended for anyone learning tagalog from 0.
