I'm adding siding to a house and was hoping to get the length and angles of an awkward bit to measure out cuts without getting on a ladder. I wanted to test it out with something easy and verifiable, so I measured the height of a wall. When it finally recognized the plane, the only two measurements I could get were 0 and 8 inches. I'm sure it probably works sometimes but it's nothing more than a novelty at it's current state, and charging money for full access is offensive.

it's very dependent on the steadiness of your hand. it doesn't seem to use tilt or physical sensors in the phone to adjust for my inability to hold the phone steady with the surface. I could not find a manual online on how to use this application or how to make my measurements better. The in-app directions are adequate if you want accuracy a couple Of inches when looking down at a piece of paper on a table. The paid app is not helping me to measure room or garden area. Limited Usefulness.

Not the most accurate, but it does well enough on horizontal surfaces of certain textures. Only tried indoors so far, but I have to rate this a 5: no ads popping up (at all!), and since (I think it was) Smart Measure was rendered inoperable since getting a new phone, this is the ONLY free version available that actually works. Please keep this free, and in a year of use I may upgrade to the paid version, pending usefulness/accuracy
