This is a really well made app. The layout is nice and its packed with features. I paid for the full version to unlock the full catalogues. Unfortunately 3 of 4 of the targets that I was searching for weren't in the app (even after opening all of the brightness and size parameters fully). Edit: I was just outside using this app and a thought occurred to me. What if we could manually input a set of R.A. and Declination values to pushto? This way, if an object were missing from the catalog, we could still use the app to align to it.

Update: As of 2021, both of these have been addressed to a certain extent. It is possible to pin non-standard objects in the catalog filters so that they are always selected, and also possible to add a custom catalog of objects. I will continue improving the experience around these further.

I have been so impressed with the standard SkEye version and how helpful it has been to me for some time now. As a novice the app has helped me to progress and guide me with my 10" Dobsonian telescope. The standard version has worked so well for me I really wanted to support the developer and purchased the Pro version. I'm certain the Pro version will continue to help me expand my experiences. OUTSTANDING!!!

I normally don't leave reviews for apps, but I wanted to do so for this app because it works so well. I'm a huge space/astronomy geek and, previously, was using two or three different star gazing apps. SkEye Pro is simple to use and has allowed me to eliminate those other apps. I just hope that you continue to update/support this great app.

Thank you! I am definitely planning to continue development. I just hope that my plan to make it sustainable works out.

What’s new

Major change!

The app now lets the user update the comet data through the internet without waiting for me to package a new release. To update the data go to Settings -> Catalogs -> Comets and click "Update".

Note: This feature requires the Internet permission. I resisted adding the feature for so long because I wanted to avoid the Internet permission. But given that interesting comets have been appearing in quick succession, I had to support this feature along with the additional permission.
