Civil Radar turns a stationary Android phone into a local radio-awareness display for home, workshop, campsite, or hobby monitoring.
Use the live sonar and sortable signal history to observe Bluetooth Low Energy advertisements, learn normal stationary jitter, recognize stronger/weaker trends, and document approach, pass, fade, shutdown, and return events. Manually tag or flag signals, attach dated notes, and choose exactly which known targets may produce sound or vibration alerts.
Calibrate a Home Anchor and perimeter baseline, compare unmatched Wi-Fi access points in the Anomalies view, or pair two or three trusted receiver phones using an encrypted QR Mesh session. The map shows tagged-target context and explicitly labeled travel-radius estimates.
Lockdown is a user-initiated evidence mode that combines continued BLE monitoring with optional, visibly disclosed local microphone recording. Emergency audio is retained for 14 days by default and can be deleted sooner.
Civil Radar is local-first: no Civil Radar account, advertising SDK, analytics service, or developer-operated evidence cloud is included. Android backup is disabled. Separate controls delete Home Anchor, notes, radio history, exports, Lockdown audio, or all local data.
Important limitations: BLE and Wi-Fi radio behavior cannot establish a person's identity, intent, exact distance, direction, speed, floor, ownership, or whether a threat is present. Civil Radar does not contact emergency services and cannot physically stop or control people or vehicles.
