About this app

The Official MeshCore Companion App!

Send text messages without the internet!

MeshCore is a simple, secure, off-grid mesh communications system.
Build your own low-cost, long-range, encrypted messaging network.
You can still send messages even when WiFi, Cellular, and Starlink are down.

To use this app, you must have a supported LoRa radio device, that has been flashed with the MeshCore Companion Firmware.

Once you've installed the app, you will need to:
- Pair with your MeshCore device using Bluetooth.
- Set a custom display name.
- and, Configure your LoRa radio settings.

That's it! You can now advertise yourself on the network using the signal icon, and send messages to other users you have discovered on the same frequency.

When other devices on the network have been discovered, they will show up in your contacts list.

For more information, please visit the MeshCore website.

App works great! Was able to connect right away and chat in public, discover other nodes, login to a repeater without issue. As a new user to mesh I appreciate the intuitive design to the app. I installed it on older phones and discovered that you may have to turn GPS on for it to connect to your device. Seems like the bad reviews are small nit picking issues not about the functionality of the app. Works great. Oh and if there's no one to connect to, be the person to get the word out.

Great, application works well. My main comment would be that setup of gps location tracking of friends could be a bit more intuitive to configure and especially easier to use . Right now you need to go into telemetry of the node to request their position which is weird . Also display is not very intuitive and map in this view too small. Also, why not use phone gps to display my position on the map at the same time so I can see my position and heading with regards to the user I'm tracking.

App and webapp both now having issues connecting to Bluetooth. The red text box with error messages do not help. Was working fine for months on both the app and webapp but now both have issues. Direct messaging is not as reliable as creating a private thread and messaging through that with a node 5 miles away from we where we share the same repeater. Wish I could have a wifi connection to esp32 nodes for the app to connect to.
