About this app

A simple, secure, off-grid, mesh communications app powered by the open source MeshCore project.

To use this app, you must have a supported LoRa radio device, that has been flashed with the MeshCore Companion Firmware.

Once you've installed the app, you will need to:
- Pair with your MeshCore device using Bluetooth.
- Set a custom display name.
- and, Configure your LoRa radio settings.

That's it! You can now advertise yourself on the network using the signal icon, and send messages to other users you have discovered on the same frequency.

When other devices on the network have been discovered, they will show up in your contacts list.

For more information, please visit the MeshCore GitHub page.

App works great! Was able to connect right away and chat in public, discover other nodes, login to a repeater without issue. As a new user to mesh I appreciate the intuitive design to the app. I installed it on older phones and discovered that you may have to turn GPS on for it to connect to your device. Seems like the bad reviews are small nit picking issues not about the functionality of the app. Works great. Oh and if there's no one to connect to, be the person to get the word out.

Meshcore is an outstanding app that simply works. It's free, ad-free, and delivers a full mesh experience on devices like the t114, HT V3, and t-echo (and other client nodes) Unlike the Meshtastic app, where I couldn't get a message for a month, Meshcore established reliable communication paths within days. Don't worry about licensing—it only affects standalone devices and while it gives you more options, it is not necessary. Give it a go and you won't regret it.

The mobile app does not appear to be open source. The lack of availability on F-Droid and the weird licensing system for paywalled features will prevent this app from becoming nearly as popular as Meshtastic, even if Meshcore is a better experience. Long term, this will reduce visibility and adoption of Meshcore.

Hey, thanks for the review. At this stage I'm focussing my efforts on building a high quality user experience. I might open source it in the future. All features are free to use, and the in app purchase is optional. It helps fund my time working on this project. How would you suggest funding development? It seems optional donations are not the way?
