About this app

A simple, secure, off-grid, mesh communications app powered by the open source MeshCore project.

To use this app, you must have a supported LoRa radio device, that has been flashed with the MeshCore Companion Firmware.

Once you've installed the app, you will need to:
- Pair with your MeshCore device using Bluetooth.
- Set a custom display name.
- and, Configure your LoRa radio settings.

That's it! You can now advertise yourself on the network using the signal icon, and send messages to other users you have discovered on the same frequency.

When other devices on the network have been discovered, they will show up in your contacts list.

For more information, please visit the MeshCore GitHub page.

App works great! Was able to connect right away and chat in public, discover other nodes, login to a repeater without issue. As a new user to mesh I appreciate the intuitive design to the app. I installed it on older phones and discovered that you may have to turn GPS on for it to connect to your device. Seems like the bad reviews are small nit picking issues not about the functionality of the app. Works great. Oh and if there's no one to connect to, be the person to get the word out.

Pretty happy with it except for the fact it randomly disconnects (even when I'm close) and doesn't reconnect automatically. Separately the app is not intuitive at all; it was my first node and it took me ages to see that my default post-flashing settings were wrong, to find and then set up the right settings. The whole thing feels like it's 0.0.3 alpha. Oh, and there's no filtering in automatic contacts adding, and the notifications could REALLY use some granularity (see Discord for ideas).

The app works, but not all is immediately clear for beginners. This results in many beginners experiencing the same issues (e.g. contact list full). For a protocol that is open source, and this app is sort of mandatory to use, I prefer this app to be open source as well. This way more people can chime in and reward the author with feedback and ideas. So three stars for the time being.
