Go (Baduk, Weiqi) to play alone or with a friend, no internet needed. No sign-in.
■ A computer that starts easy
- Six levels on 9x9 and 13x13, from Starter to Top. Three levels on 19x19: Starter, Novice and Medium.
- Starter plays gently for first-time players and makes the odd big mistake.
- Use handicap stones to even out the game.
- Choose Black or White.
- Stuck? Get a hint, or tap Count to see who is ahead.
■ Scoring you can check
- When both players pass, the game moves to scoring.
- Dead stones are suggested for you. Tap a group to switch it between dead and alive.
- Mark seki too. Points touching a seki group are not counted as territory.
- Every point shows whose territory it is, and the result adds up territory, captures, dead stones and komi line by line.
- Open borders are pointed out, and Keep playing lets you finish them.
- Korean territory scoring with 6.5 komi (0.5 in handicap games).
■ Two players on one phone
- Take turns on one phone, on 9x9, 13x13 or 19x19.
- If the same position comes up a third time, you are asked whether to call it a draw.
■ Preview before you place
- Tap a point to see a ghost stone and crosshair first.
- On 19x19 a magnifier shows the area around your finger.
- Tap Place, or the same point again, to play.
- Illegal points (suicide, ko) tell you why.
- Take back as many moves as you like.
■ Play with buttons
- Turn it on in Settings to move a cursor with arrow buttons and place with one button.
- With TalkBack on, the cursor point is read aloud, and button mode turns on by itself.
- Mark dead stones and seki with buttons when scoring, too.
■ Also
- Your game is saved, so you can pick it up later.
- Records by board size and level, plus your recent games.
- Four board styles (Wood, Paper, Jade, Night) and dark mode.
- Illustrated rules: capturing, suicide, ko and counting territory.
