Look at a 3D model on your phone without a computer. 3D Model Viewer opens STL, OBJ, 3MF, PLY and GLB files right away, lets you turn and zoom the model, and shows its size, surface area and volume.
■ Open
- STL (binary and text), OBJ, 3MF, PLY and GLB files.
- Large models with over a million triangles open at full detail (the limit depends on the phone's memory).
- Pick a file in the app, open it from your file manager, or share it to the app.
- The type is read from the file itself, so a file with the wrong extension still opens.
- No account, no upload. The model opens right away.
■ Look
- Drag to turn, pinch to zoom, drag with two fingers to move. Double tap to fit.
- Jump to the front, back, left, right, top, bottom or an angled view.
- Turn on a floor grid and a size box, or switch to a dark background.
- Colors saved in 3MF, PLY, OBJ and GLB files are shown.
■ Measure
- Width, depth and height of the model.
- Surface area and volume, with cm³ for 3D printing.
- Units are read from 3MF and GLB files. For STL, OBJ and PLY files, which do not store units, read the numbers as millimeters or inches.
- Triangle count, file size and format details.
■ Save and share
- Save the model as you see it as a PNG (with a transparent background if you like) or JPG.
- Choose 1080, 2048 or 4096 pixels on the long side.
- Share the image to any app you choose.
■ Your files
- Models are opened and drawn only on your phone. They are never uploaded.
- The app does not ask for storage permission. It reads only the files you open.
- Google services process device information for ads and app usage statistics. See the privacy policy for details.
■ Good to know
- Textures, animation and separate material files (.mtl) are not shown. OBJ models are shown in one color.
- glTF models that need other files next to them, and models with Draco mesh compression, cannot be opened. Export them as a single GLB file without compression.
- Volume is only correct for closed models with no holes.
- The app views models. It does not edit or slice them.
Open STL, OBJ, 3MF, PLY and GLB files. Turn the model, check size and volume.
