Mjølnir is a language learning app developed specifically for Swedish, and with English as a starting point.

It combines the quality content of a textbook, the interactivity of a smartphone app and the effectiveness of a spaced repetition memorisation tool.

It is designed with a focus on expatriates living in Sweden and aims to cover the hundreds of notions of pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary that take you to the B1 and then B2 level. This is the tipping point after which you can continue to learn the language simply by using it every day.

Our flashcards cover pronunciation, grammar & vocabulary, and feature audio recorded exclusively by actual native speakers.

Must have for learning Swedish, or Norwegian with their other app; the spaced repetition is fairly simple, but it's both extremely effective and incredibly polished in execution. They use native speakers who speak at a natural, fluid, real life pace for all their cards, which is incredibly helpful compared to the stilted or text-to-speech pronunciation you can sometimes hear elsewhere. Customer service is also just fantastic. $80 for a year is honestly incredibly good value, highly recommend.

I started to use Møljnir about 6 months ago after 5 years learning Swedish on Duolingo. I wish I had found it earlier because it is so much better. The explanations are clear, and the examples are useful. And best of all I get to control the repetition! The help when you contact them about something is quick and answers the query. As well the person looked at my progress on the app and gave me glidande on how to use it better. If there was a Gold Star to award this app, I would di it.

The best way to learn swedish! It helps so much. Swedish just sticks in your head with this app.

- Ending a session past midnight will still allow for the new session to start the following morning (the change of day is now set at 4am of your device local time)
- Remember that you can have up to 3 days a week without new cards, to avoid the daily workload to grow too much!
