About this app

Measure light instantly with LightSense Meter.

LightSense Meter is a simple, friendly light meter that helps you check the brightness around you in `lx`. Use it at home, at a desk, in a classroom, in an office, or anywhere you want to understand whether the lighting feels suitable.

The app uses your device hardware light sensor for real-time illuminance readings. It does not use the camera. You can see the current light level, follow a live trend chart, compare readings with recommended room ranges, and save sessions for later review.

### What You Can Do

- Track min, avg, and max values during a session
- Watch a live light trend chart as lighting changes
- Compare readings with room recommendations
- See a Lighting Fit percentage against the recommended target
- Get simple brightness suggestions, such as increasing or reducing light
- Save measurement sessions for later
- Review history details with timing, chart, and measured values
- Export session data as CSV for records or sharing
- Adjust calibration for reference tuning
- Use light and dark themes

### Helpful For

### Designed For Everyday Use

LightSense Meter is not just a technical lux meter. It helps you understand what the reading means. Choose a room type, compare your current light level with the recommended range, and see whether your lighting is too low, suitable, or too high.

### Privacy-Friendly

LightSense Meter works locally on your device. Measurement history stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it. The app does not use the camera for measurement.

### Important Note

Light readings depend on the hardware light sensor available on your device, sensor placement, device model, and vendor calibration. LightSense Meter is intended for practical reference use and should not be treated as a certified professional measurement instrument.
