This review is for "Deer Plus" but I wasn't able to find it so I'm writing it here since this appears to be the same developer. The app would net another star (at the very least) if the its UI didn't sit under the phone's universal nav bar located at the base/bottom of the screen. This poor design makes it impossible to select buttons located at the bottom of the screen. Btw, if there's a setting to bring the app to the front or minimize the nav bar, I can't find it. Android: Samsung S23 Ultra

I love lingodeer. It has much better grammar explanation than duolingo or any other app. And i like you can buy it forever, not a subscription. I love recording and comparing my pronunciation with the native speaker. And while i haven't gotten to all the advanced stuff i want to test myself on yet, it seems to have the testing of conjugations that i was seeking! I wanted something that presented all the options of a conjugation and asks you to pick the correct one. Very happy with lingodeer.

Fantastic app for language learning. I've been using it for Japanese and love the emphasis on grammar, which helps build a rock-solid foundation. The video clips of native speakers for some languages are phenomenal too. I wholly recommend it to anyone looking to ditch the "green owl". It feels rare to find an app with a lifetime subscription anymore, and this one has been incredibly worth it.
