About this app

Link My Droid connects your Android phone and your Mac over your local Wi-Fi — no cloud, no servers in between, nothing leaves your network.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Shared clipboard — copy on the Mac, paste on Android (and back).
• File transfer — send files of any size between phone and Mac, directly over the LAN.
• Notification mirroring — see your Android notifications on your Mac.
• Screen mirroring — view your Android screen in a window on your Mac.
• Remote control while mirroring — use your Mac's mouse and keyboard to tap, swipe, navigate and type on your phone.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your content (files, clipboard, notifications and screen) travels only between your own devices on your local network, encrypted end to end. There is a backend, but only for sign-in and licensing — it never sees your clipboard or files.

ACCESSIBILITY PERMISSION (REQUIRED FOR REMOTE CONTROL)

Link My Droid uses the Android Accessibility API (AccessibilityService) for one
purpose only: to let your Mac remotely control this phone while you mirror the screen.
When you control the phone from the Mac, the app injects your taps, swipes, navigation
actions and typing into the device. Android provides no narrower API for injecting
input into other apps, which is why remote control uses the Accessibility service —
the same approach used by remote-desktop tools. It is used solely for this
remote-control feature while mirroring. Other features use narrower, purpose-built
APIs — for example, notification mirroring uses Android's Notification Access, not the
Accessibility service. Link My Droid does NOT use accessibility data to collect, store,
share or sell any personal or sensitive information, and does not use it for
advertising. Enabling it is your choice, and you can turn it off at any time in Android
Settings → Accessibility. If you don't enable it, mirroring still works in view-only
mode.

PRICING
Free to start. A one-time in-app purchase unlocks a license per Mac.
