Literal Word exists to promote the word of God and not much else. No ads. No articles. No distractions. Simply the Word. We believe that the Bible contains the most important information that anyone could ever come across and that accessing it should be as easy as possible.

This belief has driven every decision we've made designing Literal Word. The app is 100% free and functional even when you're offline. The NASB 1995, LSB, ESV, and KJV translations of the Bible were selected for faithfully utilizing a word-for-word instead of a thought-for-thought translation method. Each passage of the Bible is clean, customizable, and convenient to access, allowing the reader to focus exclusively on the God-breathed content. Word searches are simple but powerful, featuring a unique visual interface for organizing results with precision, and complete lexicons for original Hebrew and Greek words can be viewed with just a couple taps.

It really comes down to the fact that a straightforward approach to a Bible app maximizes attention to the word of God.

Well, the app now has the zoomies. Nothing worse than reading a passage and the whole thing zooms in to almost just one word. You then have to manually zoom back out looking for that right font size. Ugggg... Old & fixed: It's a good app that removes the verses making reading easier. The only thing to watch out for is when you approach a new chapter be sure to tap on the last couple of sentences. There is often a whole lot more text hidden that you might not know about.

Hello. Thanks for this feedback. There shouldn't be any hidden text. Could you email with a screenshot? We can then try to resolve the issue.

When I first downloaded this app in 2021, it only offered the NASB95 translation. With today's (9/18/23) update, three more translations have been added: LSB, ESV, and KJV. I was a little worried that the notes I made in the original NASB95 version would not transfer over, but they found a way to make those available across the various translations. Excellent translations, excellent user experience.

AWESOME APP!! Has some features that really work well for me - especially the search features, scrolling past/thru chapter breaks, the format for moving to different passages in the Bible. I really like that i can highlight specific words within a verse. A lot of the NASB Bible apps are clearly the same basic app repackaged; this one is not, and it is REALLY nifty.
