Prior to recent update the App failed to save changes made to start up sequences. I was able to make changes to activities with the desktop app and not the mobile app After the update app is much more responsive and works better and quickly. Haven't edited or built new activities yet but so far so good
Since last update I've had numerous issues trying to sync any changes between hub and remote. Have had to factory reset on numerous occasions. App can't find hub for no reason also sometimes despite hub being next to the router!
I like the functions and the UI but the lag in launching is frustrating. I have two hubs and switching between them is a test of patience. Making changes to the setup could be easier so I prefer to use the desktop. In the two years I've been using this app I haven't seen significant improvements so I'm not too hopeful.
In theory it is ok. The remote works well once setup and it is very easy to add new devices. But my god, why is it so difficult to have the app connect to the hub? It is completely random. I am basically stuck with the setup as it is because I cannot change them anymore. Joke is, I can still remotely control the devices, but changing the action, nope. Update: found the solution. If the IP of the hub changes, the app cannot connect to the hub anymore. So as I have dynamic IP, it changed every time I restarted the hub or the router. Solution: uninstall and re-install the app on your phone and you are good to go. Will reserve the IP for my hub and hopefully will be good to go. Increasing rating to 3 stars as now it really is nice to use, but Logitech needs to get this under control, at least give us this tip in the official FAQ or even better on screen when the error persists. Also, I don't seem to intuitively find a way to put activities on the buttons of the remote control.
Be prepared to spend your life syncing. Makes it impossible to use the app. Terrible.
Genuinely awful software. All I wanted to do was mimic the Xbox Pause and Play TV commands on my Sony TV with Alexa. Every single configuration operation in the app takes at least 15 seconds while it talks to the incredibly slow Logitech servers (plus trying to create an activity requires it to check the firmware version every single time). After about 5 minutes of this I found that I can't add an activity like this to the app unless I want to have it completely manage my TV otherwise when I issue a command to my Echo it results in an error response that "TV is in a mode that doesn't accept requests".
