I installed this on my Galaxy SIII and on my Kindle. It really works as advertised. I had to tweak a couple of things to be able to switch activities between watching TV and watching Netflix but I'm very happy with this app. If I could have one feature it would be to optionally shrink controls or perhaps combine control pages, When used on a tablet that would make swiping between pages much less needed while watching TV or viewing the STB guide. Update: I still like this a lot. It does need improvement though. It sometimes gets confused and seems to restart itself but it's easy to continue afterwards. It actually works better on my Kindle than on my Galaxy SIII. I think if I had to use it on the SIII I'd have given up long ago.
I have a diverse collection of HiFi telly and home control equipment including rotel CD player from the 80s, humax PVR, Philips DVD, Sony amp and telly, nest thermostat and hue lights. Everything works without problem through this amazing amp.. Also very elegant design .. And just commenting what amazing customer care to comment on almost all problems.. really want you to do Google home with harmony in uk though..
An older version didn't work with pixel, but it seems they've fixed that. Harmony is the best all in one remote out there atm, but until singular device commands are exposed via API to smart home controllers like Vera plus, smart things, and wink, 3 stars is the max I can give out. From their API documentation "With this generation of API you cannot control devices directly." Which may sound confusing to some, you actually can control singular devices, but you would have to set up an activity for each command on each device. But it's a Crazy amount of work to go through for something that you would think would be easy to give access to.
It would be great if I didn't have problems connecting nearly everytime I'm not on my home network. The app is buggy and I have to restart several times before it connects to the cloud. Even then the command may not take the first time. Which is a crap shoot when I'm trying to turn on my AC remotely, which is the only reason I bought the Harmony hub.
Decent app for the Harmony series of WiFi remotes. Biggest gripe is the artificial limit of devices (8 or 15 depending on your model of hub). In a world with multiplying smart home devices, this severely hampers the products usefulness. For what it does though, it does pretty well. For me, using a touch screen will never feel intuitive for a TV remote, but I do appreciate the ability to use my phone's volume buttons to adjust the volume on the TV.
Although this app needs to add more features, and better documentation, it is enough to allow Alexa control over the easy integration of a complex home entertainment system. It also needs to be integrated or completely replaced by the so called smart version. I have not experienced the instability reported by some people. The phone as a remote feature also works great.
