Has many issues (update) Installed the app and immediately got an alert that there is an update from within the app itself (why that's not covered through the app store when first installed? ) Very unstable app and not sure how its received such high marks. (Update) now working sort of. However the alarm feature does not usually play the music I set for it except once after the first setting of the alarm. After that you get an annoying default alarm. AND I get an alert on my Note 5 that this app is causing my phone to run slowly.
Double up use Website You don't need the app Go too the website you can pair the speakers without the app. Just simultaneously hold the Bluetooth button and plus button on the device while playing music. Then press the Bluetooth button twice on the one the speaker that you want to add. Problem solved by the way my app works fine for the Samsung Note 5
Not a fan! I have to tell you I'm not sure why speakers need a companion app but whatever the reason IT SHOULD WORK! This is a major fail on the manufacturer's side cause if there's one thing I would like to work and not when it feels like it's the phone answering option. News... It's only worked once since I got it. 👎👎👎
The app needs help! I can't turn it on with the app. The volume goes down on its own. And I only had the speaker three weeks.
Gets Worse with Each Software Update These guys need to stop pushing updates to the UE Boom. Worked flawlessly when I first got it a couple years ago, now it is so buggy I am thinking of switching to a different brand speaker. The Bluetooth pairing is inconsistent, the ability to use one of my speakers as a speaker phone no longer works, the volume of songs using Pandora goes to extremely quiet each time a new song comes on, have to go to the speaker and hit the volume key to fix. Why do they keep pushing software updates that add no value?!
Handy equalizer Not sure what some of the other reviewers are whinging about. Yes it immediately asks you to update, but the firmware rather than the app - which is fair enough, it's just a result of the hardware having sat in stock for a while. The equalizer with the presets is really helpful, altho it would be nice if you could see the actual settings that constitute them. Otherwise all good, not a core bit of functionality but seems to work fine.
