Forest Commando is a 2D action shooter game set in a tropical jungle. Players control a commando who must confront enemy forces while navigating jungle terrain, cliffs, rivers, and waterfalls.

Gameplay uses a side-scrolling system, with the character able to move left and right, jump, and shoot enemies with weapons. Players can also utilize tiered platforms to change positions and attack enemies from more strategic vantage points.

The screen displays three life indicators: an HP/energy bar, ammunition count, and score. The game controls include a virtual joystick on the left and action buttons on the right to assist players in movement and attack.

Enemies appear along the way and must be defeated to earn points. Set against a natural backdrop of dense forests, mountains, waterfalls, rivers, and guard posts, Forest Commando delivers the feel of classic arcade combat in a challenging natural environment.
