Smart Screen On Off application is simple utility to automatically On or Off screen using proximity sensor and double tap on Home Screen, instead of having to press the power button manually. Smart Screen On Off have a power head floating in a convenient location is also provided to quickly turn off the screen.

Seems to do what it says, but every single action in the app itself comes with an ad, some of which you cannot skip. When this prevents you from even reaching the deactivate button, instant uninstall. (Yes, I used the function in the app, but I had to sit through three intrusive ads before I could use it.) In my opinion, if you want to improve this app, drop the ads and instead give your users a better incentive to buy the Pro version other than just getting rid of the ads.

The app works great if you have no pin or fingerprint. I used this app on a phone on my bicycle, a phone that I only use for GPS apps. Great to turn screen on and off by simply putting your hand over the sensor. That will save you battery (screen off when you don't need to see the map and on again with an easy gesture)... BUT the problem comes if you have pin and/or fingerprint. Android will not trust the app and you need to enter the pin, even after using fingerprint. Too bad.

I just used one week, so far it works! Just as the developer described: turn on the 'double tap button'. When you wake up every morning, the cell phone itself need to be woke up too! Just click open their app, doing nothing, exit the app, then double tap on the home screen, the screen will sleep. Close the cover, then open to wake it up. For the rest of the day it works, so far so good! About Ads? No free lunch in this world! I am OK with it as long as they are not too much. Thanks! ☺
