About this app

Shake to Enable Torch is a simple application that allows you to enable/disable the torch whenever you shake your smartphone.

You can adjust the sensibility, disable the service during phone calls and autostart it when you boot the device.

This feature is inspired from the amazing built in Motorola functionality!

Perfect App. Works just like in Motorola's. no ads, no popups, no premium purchase, nothing. I set sensitivity to 125, and didn't even disable battery optimization. it just works. those other "shake" apps will be riddled with ads and not be as feature-rich. if you just got a new phone, and need chop chop flashlight back, this is it. trust me.

I've been missing the shake to toggle flashlight ever since I moved to a pixel from a motorola. I looked through the appstore here and found many supposed apps that offer that, but had ads, in-app purchases, or both. One even wanted $15 PER WEEK for the premium version. For a flashlight app! Then I stumbled upon this one, no reviews but no ads or anything. Installing and cranked the sensitivity to the max. It just works. It just works! It. Just. Works.

Asks reasonable permission to access the camera, saying "don't worry, we won't take pictures or record videos." then it asks for permission to take pictures and record videos. If you don't grant that, the app is disabled. I am uninstalling it. Period.

Hello Norman, thank you for your review. As for android documentation, the torch is a component of the camera. This app, to be able to enable the torch while in the background, uses what is called a service of type "camera", which requires the permission you see to be granted (2nd dialog, the text is android default). Wish you the best, Luxebyte.
