Macrolo helps you understand what you eat. It calculates how many calories you need each day, lets you look up the nutrition of common foods and keeps a simple diary of your meals with calories, protein, fat and carbohydrates.
The calorie calculator uses the well-known Mifflin-St Jeor formula. You enter your age, sex, height, weight and activity level and choose whether you want to lose weight, keep it stable or gain, and Macrolo shows your basal metabolic rate, your daily energy needs and a target calorie amount. Protein and fat targets can be adjusted to your preference, and carbohydrates are calculated automatically from the calories that remain.
The built-in food database includes more than two hundred common foods and dishes with calories and macronutrients per one hundred grams. Foods are grouped into categories such as meat and fish, dairy and eggs, grains and bread, fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds, drinks, sweets and snacks, prepared dishes and sports nutrition. Search is fast, category filters help you browse, and you can add your own foods and mark favorites for quick access.
The food diary is organized by breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. You add a portion in grams, using quick options for 50, 100, 150 and 200 grams or any custom amount, and you see its calories and macros before you save it. Entries can be edited or deleted, and you can move between days to review or complete your log.
Clear charts show your progress at a glance. A ring shows how many calories remain for the day, a donut chart shows the balance of protein, fat and carbohydrates, progress bars compare each macro with its target, and a weekly chart shows your daily calories against your goal together with your averages.
Macrolo works fully offline and needs no permissions, no account and no internet connection, and it has no ads. All your data stays on your device. Nutrition values are average estimates and are not medical or dietary advice.
