About this app

New App My SmartBike, by MAHLE, provides you an enhanced e-bike riding experience by using your smartphone as the interface to your bicycle. Our application is designed to help tune, customize e-bike performance and enjoy your trips. Connect with your e-bike and adjust your preferences, customize motor maps to adapt the MAHLE SmartBike System to your personal necessities, remaining batteries, record your activities, have access to statistics, see bike location and more.

If you need detailed information and a dynamic experience, our web app (www.my-smartbike.com) enables you to analyze the routes in detail and graphically comparing data as elevation, health-related data and exclusive metrics from e-bikes, the tour on maps and share it through third platforms.

Ratings and reviews

It works but has several issues that need to be fixed. For me the most annoying are: 1. High phone battery use 2. It takes a couple of tries before the app can connect to the iWoc via bluetooth successfully. 3. There is some bug somewhere that causes my phone to vibrate randomly after I have used the app. I have to force stop the app every time. Drove me crazy until I figured it out. It would also be nice that the +/- buttons to change level of assistance would be larger in the display.

What a mess! Will only connect to the bike *some* of the time. Can't do anything without an internet connection. My bike is a mountain bike and I'm in the mountains with it *where there is no internet*! Poor, poor engineering! Even with a connection, the software is near useless. Best to adjust power assist levels on the lucky times I can connect. Opt for another app--oh yeah, there is no other app to use with my Rocky Mountain Powerplay. Makes me wonder if I bought the wrong brand of ebike!

Was working fine until the update in April 2024. First thing to note is that I can not change the motor map settings at all - I just get the options at the top, clicking on them does nothing! Went for a ride for approx. 1hr 10mins and the ride time at the end was 2hrs 20mins! And the avg. Speed was very low theoughout ride, yet at the end of processing all the correct results were shown!!!! NEEDS WORK DOING TO BECOME BETTER.
