About this app

Marifa reads moments, not fortunes.

Enter a moment — your birth, a company's founding, any instant — and see how four different civilizations read it, side by side. Then ask the opposite question: when should I do this?

FOUR TRADITIONS, ONE MOMENT

• Western (tropical) — the zodiac anchored to the spring equinox.
• Vedic / Jyotish (sidereal) — Lahiri ayanamsa, the nine grahas, whole-sign houses, and your Vimshottari dasha periods with real dates.
• Chinese BaZi (Four Pillars) — year, month, day and hour pillars, hidden stems, five-element balance. No planets, no signs, no houses; the year turns at Lichun in early February, not on 1 January.
• Arabic lunar mansions (manazil al-qamar) — the Moon's 28 stations.

They disagree, and that is the point. The same birth can be Gemini rising in the Western frame and Taurus lagna in the Vedic one, because the two zodiacs are anchored to different things. The Vedic tradition divides the Moon's path into 27 parts and the Arabic tradition into 28 — same sky, different cut. Every card explains what its own system does and does not use.

FIND THE RIGHT MOMENT

Choose what you are planning — signing a contract, launching something, closing something down, travelling, a negotiation, a difficult conversation — and Marifa scans the weeks ahead against documented classical criteria, then ranks candidate days with its reasons shown.

Every reason is a checkable fact: the Moon's phase, whether it is void of course during working hours, whether Mercury is retrograde, which aspects perfect that day and at what time. The score is nothing more than the sum of the factors listed on screen.

Different intentions produce different days. Beginning something favours a waxing Moon; ending something favours a waning one. Ask for both in the same window and you get two different answers.

CALCULATED, NOT GENERATED

Positions come from the Swiss Ephemeris. The traditions, the mansions, the pillars and the timing criteria are all deterministic calculations. None of them is asked of a language model, and none is invented.

WHAT IS FREE

The tradition comparison, the birth chart and the decision timing are free and need no account. Written interpretations are unlocked with analysis credits — no subscription, credits never expire, and you buy only what you use.

Your readings are saved on your device.

Marifa is made for reflection and for studying how different traditions read the same sky. It does not predict events and does not give medical, legal or financial advice.
One moment read by four traditions, plus a timing tool that shows its reasons.

What’s new

If you don't know your birth time, you can now still see your chart and the Four Traditions comparison. Your birth chart now includes a visual wheel. The home screen is simpler, and finished readings show where they're saved and can be shared. Bug fixes.
