According to Lise Bourbeau, in her book The Healing of the 5 Wounds, we all have one or more wounds created in our childhood, some deeper than others. The wounds of childhood generate personality traits that as we grow and enter social or love relationships, patterns are generated that can be observed and thus determine the wounds or wound that most identifies you. In order for the subconscious to be safe from this situation, masks are created that make the person act in a certain way depending on the wound that is activated.
