MationX turns your Android phone into a device you can automate. Build automations visually in MationX Studio (the web app), pair your phone, and let it run the tasks for you: tap, type, swipe, read the screen, send and receive text messages, react to notifications, and move data between apps. No code required.
The MationX Client is the on-device engine. It connects to your MationX Studio account and runs the automations ("flows") you build there, either on demand or triggered by events on the phone.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Automate any app: taps, swipes, text input, and navigation across the apps you use.
• Read the screen: extract text and structured data from any screen, with optional AI-assisted steps.
• Send and receive text messages: send an SMS as a step in a flow, and start a flow when one arrives.
• React to events: run a flow when a notification arrives or an element appears on screen.
• Move data: read and write a data store, call webhooks and HTTP endpoints, append rows to Google Sheets.
• Work with files: read, write, move, copy, list and send files on the device from your flows, using any file path you choose.
• Manage many devices: pair multiple phones to one account and run, monitor, and update them from Studio.
• Remote view and control: mirror a device screen and control it from your dashboard.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Create an account and build your automation in MationX Studio.
2. Install the MationX Client and pair your phone.
3. Run your flows on demand or on a trigger, and watch the results in Studio.
TEXT MESSAGES
Sending and receiving text messages is one of the actions an automation performs on the device. The Send Text block sends a message as a step in a flow, and the Text Received trigger starts a flow when one arrives, so an automation can forward an order confirmation, reply to a customer, or pass a code on to the next step. This is what the SMS permissions (SEND_SMS, RECEIVE_SMS, READ_SMS) are for, and they are used for nothing else. MationX is not a messaging app and does not replace your SMS handler; message content is used only to run the automation you built.
ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE
MationX uses Android's Accessibility Service to run your automations. This lets the app read on-screen content and perform gestures (taps and swipes) strictly according to the automations you build. The service is active only while running your authorized automations or when you take a Snapshot; MationX does not monitor your general device activity. Where an automation step reads the screen (including AI steps and Snapshots), the content it reads may be sent to MationX servers to run the step. FILE ACCESS
MationX includes file blocks (Read File, Write File, List Files, Delete, Move, Copy and Send File) that let your automations work with files anywhere on the device's shared storage. Because you choose the file path when you build a flow, and the flow then runs unattended with no one at the device, MationX needs All files access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE). The media-only MediaStore API and the interactive system file picker cannot serve automations that run headless, on arbitrary paths and any file type (documents, archives, logs, media).
