I agree a simple .txt file editor is sorely needed, but this isn't it. I opened a .txt file that I created in Windows to edit. The issue described in earlier reviews about randomly moving the focus to the bottom of the text really makes the app unusable, especially since it happened on every line multiple times. Also, to get around the limitations of the on-screen keyboard, I tried to use a bluetooth keyboard. The app did not recognize the tab character at all.

This is a nice text editor. The user interface is not too complicated, and very intuitive. There is just enough flexibility to let the user do a little customizing of the UI. One of the three supported fonts is a monospace font, which is nice. It is limited to plain text, but if you have a Word doc file, or RTF file, there are plenty of other editors that can handle those. This app is great for quick notes that don't require fancy formatting.

What a delight! Have used this on 'droid phones for years. Simple, reliable, easy, straightforward. I'm gonna donate some more when i can. No ads, no B.S. Yes, somewhat limited functions. It's a * text editor *. It does what a TE is supposed to do. A nice bonus is it auto highlights (in green) all hyperlinks--provided you scraped from a page with supported formatting. I give this 5 of 5 stars.
