I like the idea but there are a few bugs in this app that almost a dealbreaker (depends on how patient you are): 1) entering text into a file and then switching apps without saving and switching back causes all of your changes to be lost, and 2) even more annoying, for some reason, when using a keyboard the focus will randomly drop to the bottom of the document (the cursor stays where it is) and you have fight to get back to where you were.

I agree a simple .txt file editor is sorely needed, but this isn't it. I opened a .txt file that I created in Windows to edit. The issue described in earlier reviews about randomly moving the focus to the bottom of the text really makes the app unusable, especially since it happened on every line multiple times. Also, to get around the limitations of the on-screen keyboard, I tried to use a bluetooth keyboard. The app did not recognize the tab character at all.

This is a nice text editor. The user interface is not too complicated, and very intuitive. There is just enough flexibility to let the user do a little customizing of the UI. One of the three supported fonts is a monospace font, which is nice. It is limited to plain text, but if you have a Word doc file, or RTF file, there are plenty of other editors that can handle those. This app is great for quick notes that don't require fancy formatting.
