• Modify or delete the contents of your shared storage - to read or modify your media files, including playlists, album covers, CUE files, LRC files on the older versions of Androids

Ratings and reviews

In my opinion, this is the best music player you could get on Android. There are so many options available to customize, from the look & feel of the app, to the equalizer, sound profiles, and volume controls. Honestly I was getting tired of looking for a music player to suit my needs, and what do you know. Poweramp stepped up to the plate. Now, if you think the UI is boring or bland, just download a different skin by searching for it on the play store.

Poweramp's UI is one of, if not the best for a music player on the Play Store. The amount of customization is wonderful, but also not overly complicated so anyone can realistically pick it up. Unfortunately I need to take a star off, as you can't use Wavelet (the best eq app out there) along with this without worse audio quality. I've switched over to USB audio player pro now because of this, and because Poweramp forces you to resample all of your music (also resulting in poorer quality).

Excellent with minor issues. At times I cannot get the Music title to display on a car radio or Android radio. Just happens with Bluetooth connection. Seldom have I had issues with the Android Auto wired connection using USB. Vertical Inn horizontal flip of the phone and the display does not always flip. Vertical core horizontal but stays one direction.

What's new

• allowed initial and trailing whitespace to form Tag Split patterns. This requires Full Rescan and may change the way tags are split if you already used Whitespace as split symbol option
• fixes for Google Assistant/Maps in Car mode
