This app is great for recipes and the grocery list element, but it needs work on the estimated times. So far the timing element has not worked, it's been about double the time listed. That being said I am not a professional chef. I am just a home cook looking to eat a little healthier. I am one of those that falls into the description given by the app as "even if you don't know how to cook." Possible tips on how to improve skills to speed up the process may be helpful, as well as more realistic times.
If you have food allergies this is for you. This is the first meal planner that I've found where I can put in a ton of my weird food allergies and get recipes without those foods. No dairy, avocado, fish, mellons, treenuts, fish, or bananas, plus low carb. 100% yes. Plus the recipes are yummy and easy to follow. My only suggestion is going easy on the amount of oil they want you to use.
Super great and easy to use. One feature request would be to highlight recipes while making a meal plan that would use up perishable ingredients from your LAST meal plan. Or help in creating the plan initially so that there are less half portions of veggies and cheese at the end of the week. Thanks!
Very easy to use! I love how it gives you your grocery list. Plus every dish has my kids saying it looks like something from a restaurant and the whole family has clean plates in the end.
Pros: good presentation being easy on the eye; recipes follow the KISS protocol, so newbies can follow them; the shopping list. Cons: no Low Sodium option; couldn't add custom dislikes. Recommendations: expand your make ahead offering by stating storage instructions in each recipe; expand dislikes or allow custom ones; nutritional filtering would be great so high sodium foods could be excluded.
I absolutely love this app. I was so frustrated by trying to plan healthy, weekly meal plans and this app has completely eliminated that stress in my life. Everything I have made has been delicious and easy, and having the shopping list pre-made is a god send! It has also gotten my husband and I to try things we may have not eaten otherwise. Haven't had a bad one yet!
