HOW IT WORKS

The app makes use of the proximity sensor on your phone to detect that you are clapping. This is the sensor which helps turn off the phone's display when you are on a call & place the phone to your ear.

When you clap, make sure that you are touching the proximity sensor which is usually placed on the top edge of your smartphone. Some phones might have it placed at some other position under the display, please find out the position of the proximity sensor on your phone if the app doesn't seem to work out of the box.

IF IT DOESN'T WORK
1. Check that a proximity sensor is present & working
2. Make sure you are clapping fast.
3. Keep clapping till you want the applause sound effect to play.

Ratings and reviews

Cool concept. Nice to have something different. Good instruction video too. May be a good idea to implement other media players in the app too, not just YouTube, in case, like I have, YouTube is disabled. Also it isn't working with the gesture. I tried about 10 different way of holding and smacking and after my hand was sore I gave up. Keep it up though, cool concept.

Applause Sound effect is a great app for using the applause sound effect for a specific purpose. Great design and user friendly interface😊😊

Nice app. Let your hands be busy holding the phone, you can still clap aloud and appreciate. Who says you cannot clap with one hand, with this app on your phone, you surely can.
