Many writers feel 'in the zone' when they are typing on a typewriter. So much so that many writers have invested in a physical typewriter. But of course they miss out all the great editing features of a computer or tablet and also at the end of the day they have to convert from paper to digital form to publish.

Now get the best of both worlds with our 'Typewriter Keyboard' app. You can use our keyboard in your favorite editor and at the same time have the great typing sound effect of a typewriter. You can even choose from different typewriter sounds which we have made from real typewriters like the Smith and Corona typewriter, or the Olivetti Lettera typewriter, or the Royal Quiet Deluxe typewriter.

You can also set various gorgeous themes as the background for the keyboard. Just head over to themes and choose one. The keyboard also has word suggestions and emojis.

The app also supports external keyboards now. Whenever you press a button on the external keyboard the app plays the typewriter key press sound on your phone or tablet. To enable this feature, please buy Premium Version, then head over to Settings > Advanced .... and enable 'Bluetooth Keyboards' switch.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, Android 13; Logitech K810 Bluetooth Keyboard; Microsoft BT Mouse 3500. Important to list my devices and how they work with the app. Integration---very good. Had "Noisy Keyboard" on my PC. This comes very close to the typing experience, but certain sounds are generic and need to be more specific. Like the drop of the carriage with "Shift." The end of the page with "Ding." "Tab" has its own sound, as does the mechanical carriage rolling with "Enter." Please add.

I simply wanted the sound of a typewriter as I texted, and decided to see if there was an app for one...and here it is! Great sounds, and feels satisfying to hear the typewriter sound as I text. As others have stated, I would also love the clicking sound as heard on computer/laptop keyboards. I've been using this app for about the past 6 months, and I seriously doubt I'll go back to the annoying "water drop" or no sound at all. This is suffice!

Another good app that actually works. I get a kick out of these. I would love more of the computer key sounds. All the different color varieties and their distinct sound. But for a free app these are great. Again, they are fun and work as advertised and I like that you even have choices.
