If you play more than one of my Ancient Games, I suggest you delete the individual apps and install the main one (Ancient Games). It will allow you to play them all and save disk storage.

The past is full of fascinating board games that haves been mostly forgotten. The Ancient Games collection aims to resurrect them as a meticulously crafted mix between what a player wants from an historical game and what he/she expects of a modern application.

Currently, the collection is comprised of four games : the Royal Game of Ur, Senet, XII Scripta and Puluc, but 40 games are in the works!
Each game will be added to the Ancient Games app and will have its own individual app as well.

Ratings and reviews

Ah, the ancestor to backgammon! This game is definitely a fun one. It plays somewhat like Ur, but with a larger board, no rerolls, and you can stack your pieces. Hard mode is a challenge. The end of the game veers back and forth a lot between players, which is exciting! If you liked Ur, you'll love Scripta. It's fairly easy to get a hang of, but it takes awhile to get good at. All in all, an excellent rendition of a great game.

I did not get to play much, because the contrast between the letters on the default board and the board itself is pretty eyestaining. It can also be a good idea for your other games, seeing that some have complained about other games before. I know you take a lot of care of your games personally (I seggested the 2 rulesets in the game of ur) and it shows. I would like to a tamerlane chess app on the google app store as well, I believe you are the perfect guy for the job😄

Another good addition to the ancient games series by this developer. I'd never heard of this one until I saw it on here but have enjoyed learning the game and reading up on the history of it. All three of the old board games by this developer are well worth a look if you have any interest at all in board games, and particularly the history of these long lost games. Good to see them brought to life once again.
