About this game

If you play more than one of my Ancient Games, I suggest you delete the individual apps and install the main one (Ancient Games). It will allow you to play them all and save disk storage.

The past is full of fascinating board games that haves been mostly forgotten. The Ancient Games collection aims to resurrect them as a meticulously crafted mix between what a player wants from an historical game and what he/she expects of a modern application.

-Play against the IA, friends and random players from around the world.
-Play Online & Offline.
-Multiple collectibles : boards, game pieces, dice, nameplates, etc.
-Challenges (Fun rule variants)
-Free cloudsave across the collection : your progress in one game is available in all the others.
-Much more features to come!
-Languages : English, French, Portuguese, Italian, Arabic, Spanish, German, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Russian.

Currently, the collection is comprised of four games : the Royal Game of Ur, Senet, XII Scripta and Puluc, but 40 games are in the works!
Each game will be added to the Ancient Games app and will have its own individual app as well.

Update: It appears to be a hiccup in the ad engine display. One out of every twenty or so games seems to successfully load an ad, then things progress normally. ------- Fun enough, but after every game, I have to force close the app. The words "Game Over" appear, then fade out. Then the blank background image is the only thing shown until force closed.

I'm convinced that at least within AI matches, the tetrahedron rolls are not perfectly random. I am able to predict rolls way too often. The AI too often conveniently rolls enough to knock my pieces off or get to the flowers. It's also exceptionally rare for me to go first in a game. I like the game a lot, but sometimes it feels rigged. I should not be able to predict what the AI rolls so much as I do.

The dice use the same code for every game mode. I have written an article explaining how the odds work for this dice and why it is possible to predict rolls. https://www.ancientgames.fr/dice.html. Email me if you want to discuss it. I am adding a loaded dice option (in favor of the player) in a future update to help reduce the confirmation bias :)

No phone app like this should have an always-online requirement. In order to play games with progress unlocks, you need to play online, with an account specific to this app. The developer could have at least used google games api, but no. If you are somewhere without internet connection (or if there are server issues, like currently) you will not be able to play games using the progress unlocks from your account. There are much better versions of Ur on the play store, download those instead.

Google Games limits progress to 1 game. With my system, you can use your progress in all my games. I am working on a system to add offline access to the collection, but it needs to be strong enough to prevent hacks andthe boards aren't stored on your device, so I need a way to access them while offline. Email me if you want to discuss this further.
