I mostly liked the app, and have recently discontinued my subscription. I found it terribly irritating that many words I would search for were not found within the app, but a simple Google search gave me the definition with no problem. The words were unusual, but not slang, and it really made me wonder what I was paying for in the app

When I press the speaker icon to hear the word being pronounced nothing happens. I have to tap it several times before it eventually works. Maybe it needs time to "warm up" 05/08/22 Now when I press the button to hear the spoken word I get the last part of the word. The first syllable is not heard. I have to hit it 3-4 times before I hear the full word. Sent an email. Let's see if I hear back. Otherwise, I'll just uninstall and find another dictionary. EDIT: SPEAKER BEGAN WORKING temporarily

Too many ads to make it worth it. One can barely search a single word before ads pop up covering the whole screen. I'd rather purchase a physical dictionary and carry it around than keep this downloaded. Also the UI sucks and you find yourself jumping to another page or opening an ad while you're scrolling down to read the definition of the word. Jumping to new word pages means more ads when you try to go back to the word you actually looking up.
