Flawlessly designed, endlessly useful There's so much you could say about Wikipedia's articles, and how useful they are. Some would say they go up and down in their usefulness. I would say that has changed. Now, Wikipedia isn't any longer the mess of scattered info it used to be. If I need info about a subject, Wikipedia is the first place that comes to mind. This is evident in the design of the pages, and the amount of info put into each one. Not all of the pages have a ton of info, but there's more than one source of info on the internet.
Frequently used I use this app all the time. If I could change one thing it would be to fix the behavior when tapping on photos. Sometimes you get a large photo and sometimes you get an info page about the photo. Seems inconsistent.
Some App Exclusive Features are Annoying For the most part, the app is fine. However, many of the apps exclusive features get in the way more than they help. The tabs for browsing are really annoying and, IMO, things should only open in new tabs when you long press and choose "open in new tab". A gesture to show your tabs would be nice too. The button and panel to jump between categories won't appear/activate far too often. In fact, that's my main reason to use the app over the web interface, so if that doesn't work, the app is basically useless.
Amazing source No matter what any teacher says, Wikipedia has become the go to source for information on just about any topic. The editing staff works tirelessly to ensure quality, as well as weeding out any mistakes or issues. The app is lightweight and works extremely well. 5/5
There is a problem in viewing many saved pages after switching off wifi. Many do not load at all . Please remove the reading list feature. Also please enable an option to download the saved pages from the app.
So grateful We take our free easy access to knowledge for granted. If feeling depressed or bored, I love that I can find joy in how much interesting knowledge is at my fingertips relative to the illiterate lack of access to knowledge most humans have had have had through history.
