UPDATE: The new version of the app is a huge improvement and finally brings it closer to other modern banking apps. The loading speed issue appears to be fixed, too. My only remaining gripe is that there's no reason to require a OTP code if I am signing in on the device that receives the OTP codes... Like if I've already authenticated, clearly I have access to SMS to get the code. Maybe it's to protect against "spoofed" devices, but it feels redundant and it shouldn't be required every time.

would be 6/5 stars review: if you enabled the "financial planning" tool (the one that allows me to see all my linked accounts via the Branch accounts webpage) on the app. right now okay, but not super useable. can't even do external transfers from this app. I only use it for mobile deposits and that's it.

Very disappointing! This bank was highly rated by Bankrate, but for a purely digital bank this app is very dysfunctional and the reason I will move my money elsewhere. The app won't often open, can't login, no biometrics. It seeks super analog and antiquated. Will go elsewhere for digital banking
