Decent casual DJ app Audio apps on Android are tough. Mixvibes has made a decent app for casual mixing. Slightly annoying that while there is SoundCloud account integration it doesn't work if you use Google accounts to sign into soundcloud. Midi support is only for a few controllers. It would be much better to allow generic midi mapping and then allow the community to share those mappings. Documentation isn't great; seems mostly focused on forums and FAQ; a wiki would be better. The app is a little buggy; not for professionals.
Locked Groovey app, a bonus would be intelligent compression and eq limiters, but mostly works and really well. Sometimes th BT glitches and occasional buffering. Runs at 2gb ram or better, works smoothly on my Z5, Z2, manual or autosync ; doesnt be running on my M4 Aqua (has less than 2gb ram) let th music play on..
It has some issues I really like this app and I've been using it for a while now. But recently it's been getting some issues... when I am mixing everything works like it should work but when I try to load in the third or fourth song it won't load, the white loading circle wil keep circling and the song won't load... very annoying cause now I can't make a set longer than 2 - 4 songs... hope that this will be fixed.
This is the one and I still love it Mixing in the passenger seat of my wife's car to mucking about at home. This is a lot for a mobile app. Well executed both in functionality and design. Love the sound cloud integration. Great update to the ui. I have to update my review. I have just paid for a few other mixing apps on Google play and they do not compare. I use an s3 and this works fine and had more features. The others lag and seem to be missing functionality. I am so pleased with this app.
Tons of issues please address. App is a great idea, lots of issues ive incountered. Latency on songs, lag from songs playing together and by ones self. No precueing available for android devices. Compatibility with Pioneer DDJ SB sound is choppy and skips, also needs a performance update, this is all happening on a higher processing Galaxy S7. Would like my full refund or fix the issues please. Message me back please or ill have to take further action thank you.
Best DJ app hands down. I've tried just about every single DJ app available on Android and Cross DJ is by far the best available. As long as you are using it on a device with decent hardware specs, have basic knowledge of mixing fundamentals, and realistic expectations of a mobile app, you can't go wrong. My advice to anyone looking to use the sync feature is to analyze your library during down time as it does tend to take quite a while depending on the size of your library.
