Not for musicians I got this to record and loop my classical guitar playing you have to hold the record button while recording, sadly I only have two hands not three, what a disappointment , it's such a simple thing I didn't for one second think I would not be able to simply record my guitar then loop/mix , all the hardware and 99% of the software is there, the perils of not wanting to make music that sounds like a doorbells repeating
Troubles Ok, so I like the app, pretty good as far as djing on mobile goes. BUT. . . . I'm noticing a problem with the beat grid analysis. I'm getting a lot of songs where the beginning cue is not at the beginning of the track. Instead of starting at the beginning of the measure, sometimes it will start the beat grid off by 1 beat, or sometimes as much as a 4-count. This is very frustrating since it messes up the timing for the entire song, making it very hard to mix properly. It would be nice if the beat reader was more accurate. Even more frustrating is when I try to manually edit the start point and cue, the waveform is very difficult to work with(it seems as though the quantization is disabled when in the editing tab) Recently I've been having to match the offending track to another that I know is correct, very time consuming
Great app This is a great app, so simple to use and the bpm match is very good and acurate. Very user friendly and prefer this over virtual dj and don't drain the mobiles battery to fast either 5 stars from me but may be the sound fx can be worked on a it more.
Best DJ App in My Opinion w/ Bugs I'll have to honestly say, that this is the best app I've used for DJing on a mobile device. But it has a few bugs that need to be addressed. Including: When you are on a tablet, and you have screen rotation locked to Landscape Mode, and you go into your music library while your device is tilted to the left or right (like if you're sitting sideways on a bed or something) it still rotates to Portrait mode. Another bug: Everytime I play a song that ends quickly and has no silence at the end of it, it like stutters or plays a random part of the song for like half a second and it just sounds bad. And finally: On a lot of songs/mixes that I record in the app, if I try to play them back inside the app, the volume is much lower and I have to manually boost the volumes. Other than those issues, this app is truly the best. Plus, I figured out how to manually add your own sounds to the Sampler. You just have to dig through your "File Explorer" app until you find the Cross DJ folder under Android Data. .
The best dj android app eeeevvvvvaaa. Whoever mentions the best android dj app, but mentions something else and not Cross DJ is CRAZY. Cause the best android dj app is Cross DJ and has no contest. Sorry I forgot to put 5 stars, maybe its because u dnt deserve 5 stars but million stars.
It has some issues I really like this app and I've been using it for a while now. But recently it's been getting some issues... when I am mixing everything works like it should work but when I try to load in the third or fourth song it won't load, the white loading circle wil keep circling and the song won't load... very annoying cause now I can't make a set longer than 2 - 4 songs... hope that this will be fixed.
