No fees, no late penalties.

Example: Borrow Ksh 7,000 with a total interest amount of Ksh 3,320 to be repaid over 258 days. The principal amount to be repaid is Ksh 7,000, and the interest amount to be repaid is Ksh 3,320. The interest amount is fixed and won't increase even if the customer's payments are behind schedule or if the customer takes more than 258 days to pay. There are no fees or late penalties charged -- the interest amount is the only cost of the loan.

it has been good but of recent after clearing my cash loan, tried to apply for another one,it's not responding ,customer care service not responding, phone numbers don't go through, it's so annoying,,yet I was in urgent need and now they are sending me messages that they are locking the phone

M-KOPA advertises cash loans, but in reality, they don’t actually give them out—or at least not in any fair or reliable way. The app keeps showing “cash loan available” messages, yet when you try to apply, you’re either rejected without explanation or told to “keep using M-KOPA products” to qualify. There is no transparency about the criteria for getting a cash loan. You can be a loyal customer, make payments on time, and still never receive a loan offer.

M-KOPA phones are time bombs! Has anyone noticed that the phones develop problems immediately you are about to finish payment or just after payments they completely die. NOKIA C22, you can't do anything with it. Now I can't install my CCTV app on the useless phone. Any app from Google Play, the phone freezes and restarts. Avoid MKOPA PHONES AT ALL COSTS.
