About ITI Course/Trade in Mechanic Motor Vehicle (MMV) -
Motor vehicle mechanic is a two-year vocational programme where the students are taught about major overhauling, repairing and servicing skills of motor vehicles like buses, trucks, cars, motorcycle/scooter etc. During the training period, the students are also taught about how to maintain various parts of a vehicle like steering/handle, brakes, fault diagnosis, transmission, suspension etc.
With almost every house having a motor vehicle (two-wheeler or four-wheeler) in the cities, towns and semi-towns, there is always a shortage of good and skilled motor vehicle mechanics. Also, a diploma from a reputed ITI in motor vehicle mechanic can open up the gateways to various opportunities in Government and Government-aided sectors.
ITI Course/Trade in Mechanic Motor Vehicle (MMV) Eligibility Criteria -
In order to get enrolled in the motor vehicle mechanic course, the applicants must fulfil some eligibility criteria that are mentioned below -
*Applicants should have passed their class Xth exam from a recognised Board
*Applicants should have compulsorily studied Science and Mathematics subjects at the qualifying level
*Applicants should have at least secured 40% in aggregate at the qualifying level
ITI Motor Vehicle Mechanic Admission Process -
The ITIs offering admission into the motor vehicle mechanic course allocate seats on the basis of merit of the applicants. Based on the scores obtained by the applicants in their qualifying exam, the institutes prepare a merit list and on the basis of the merit list, eligible candidates are offered seats in the motor vehicle mechanic programme.
