For years, gym operators have used the Momentum app to instantly upgrade their gym equipment and revitalize their indoor cycling and group fitness classes.
Momentum was built by a group of Danish astrophysicists, engineers, and athletes. They realized that the motion sensors found inside smartphones could be used to generate live fitness metrics, like cadence and power, on any bike.
They added some fun stuff, like 3D races and games, Spotify and Apple Music connectivity, and various planning tools, to create an all-in-one app for gyms, members, and instructors.
For cycling classes, simply place your phone on the handlebars of any indoor bike. For group fitness and HIIT workouts, connect it to any bluetooth-enabled heart rate monitor.
