About this app

Kuna smart home security is designed to help you prevent break-ins and protect what matters to you most, from anywhere in the world.

Have a Kuna Powered security device or smart light? You’ll need the Kuna mobile app to set up and control your Kuna, Maximus, and Toucan smart security devices.

 After you’ve created a free Kuna account and connected your Kuna Powered device(s) to your Wi-Fi network, you’ll have access to all of Kuna’s powerful preventative security features:

Security:
- As soon as activity is detected, Kuna starts recording and sends actionable alerts, so you can see what’s happening and decide how to respond.

- With Kuna’s instant two-way intercom and pre-recorded messages, it’s easy to see and communicate with whoever’s outside, anytime.

- In the event of an emergency, you can quickly call the police and/or sound a piercing 100dBA siren right from the Kuna mobile app.


Monitoring:
- Stream live HD video anytime, day or night - so there’s no need to wonder what’s going on outside your home.

- “Smart detection” captures activity 10 seconds before and after an event is triggered, providing recordings that are actually useful.

I got suckered by these guys, and stupidly bought 3 of these doorbells over a 4 year period. It seemed like they lasted longer, but in reality they lasted about a month outside their warranty. The door bell "cover" would pop off and you couldn't use the door bell. You have to do a hard reset often because it just stops working. If you have an older Kuna product, you have to have 2 different apps. Just a nightmare overall. DO NOT SUGGEST!

I spent $300 on the Kuna Maximus Security Light With Camera, and it does not connect to the app. Even though throughout the set-up process, everything goes as it's supposed to, at the end it just never shows up on the app and keeps saying it's offline (even though the physical camera has a green light on, suggesting it is connected to the Internet). Support has been extremely unhelpful. This seems to be a software issue, please fix the app to support the physical product!

So I made adjustments, including changing the 2.4 Ghz WiFi channel this uses. I even added two range extenders. And while it's better, this application will still fail you when you need it the most. You might need to have the live feed up for any reason. The longer you have it up, the greater chance of suddenly, there will will be no audio, then after you try moving to your next camera, that's when it clocks and you have to close / reopen it. The video is grainy. Hindsight is 20/20.
