Android Mobile Data mobile clients connect to Mobile Data Studio (MDS), an integrated mobile project design studio, powerful wireless client and server, and data management system. Programming skills are not required to develop projects in MDS. Mobile Data projects are developed in MDS by a simple 'drag and drop' process. Three example projects are provided here in Mobile Data:

* 'Track Assets' in the field using GPS, barcode and camera images, and record the operational status of the assets;

* 'Field Service Report' to deploy, manage and record repair and maintenance of plant and equipment. Add parts and prices for service in the field, using MDS, A 'Dynamic Data' function can manage thousands of parts; and

Settings menu in Mobile Data enables TCP/IP connection to MDS server side, either by WiFi, mobile telephone network or MDS Cloud Relay. A simple process, but again supported by instructions provided in MDS Skills online training via Support link below. Mobile Data operates in both 'connected' and 'unconnected' modes. The MDS Cloud Relay communicates securely outside of enterprise firewalls for flexibility of deployments.

Mobile Data for Android version 10 supports wireless communication via a new 'MDS Cloud Relay', for simplicity of setup and security.
