Mobility Mapper is a free app for wheelchair users, mobility scooter riders, handcyclists and tricyclists. Record your journeys, flag the barriers you encounter, and help build a map of routes that genuinely work for you.
Great Britain is building the first dedicated route network for wheelers. Streets, pavements and crossings have always been mapped for people who walk — the wheelable network, the routes you can actually roll along, has not. Every journey you record helps build it, together.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Record your journeys. Every route you travel adds to a shared picture of where people can actually get around.
• Report barriers. Broken pavements, missing dropped kerbs, obstructions, or anything else that blocks your way — add a photo and a location.
• Confirm what others have found. A barrier confirmed by several people is one councils can act on.
WHY IT MATTERS
The map that results belongs to the community that built it. It shows where the wheelable routes are, and where they break down — so accessible navigation can be built on real, lived experience rather than guesswork.
BUILT FOR ACCESSIBILITY
Mobility Mapper is designed to be used by disabled people, so it is built to be accessible: it works with screen readers, supports text at 200% size, and meets WCAG contrast requirements throughout.

Mobility Mapper collects location data to record your journey even when the app is closed or not in use. This only happens while a journey is recording, and only after you start one. You can set privacy zones around places like your home, and no location is ever recorded inside them.
